Pool Confidence

Eddie -
Above is the view of the object ball. Remember these are different spots on the object ball to aim at while aiming through the center vertical plane of the cue ball. You can use these numbers when you use center high, center ball, or center low.

Continue to try to get into your stance with less movement (don't walk around the cue with your body). Already have your back foot in place then take one step forward and get comfortable. That will result in less cue movement from the original lining up.

Change #1 -  Line up with the cue on the table every shot. Keep your tip about a chalk distance away from the cue ball so you are already setup when you get down to address the cue ball.

Change #2 - Experiment with how many strokes you want to take consistently (2 or 3). I line up, get down and do a few small waggle strokes to get comfortable then I take 3 strokes every time, pause, then start my slow back swing. That way you can build your consistency and not have to have a conversation in your head about when to 'fire'.

Change #3 - Make sure to take a slow/controlled back swing on each shot. Reasons for missing a shot can be mental or it can be fundamental. If we build a consistent routine, no matter how hard the shot is and take a slow back swing, we will miss far less balls.
